Recipe #17... Bloody Mary Refresco... Makes a nice stand-alone veg juice too...

Note: Some like it hot, some like it cold, and some like a little juice with their vodka!  Here's a refreshing mixer, modified slightly from the Vitamix Recipe book - Garden Fresh Cocktail Recipe. It's refreshing all by it's lonesome or smartly matched with vodka and some fixin's...

Bloody Mary Refresco

Add the following to your mixer of choice...
Makes four-ish
**I am not a nutritionist, and I guesstimate portions.

3 c low-sodium tomato juice (RW Knudsen's great for the glass container)
1 c loose fresh spinach
1 smallish carrot
1/2 shallot
2 stalks of celery w/ leaves (from the interior - small baby stalks)
2 sprigs of parsley
1/2 small green pepper
2 dashes hot sauce
1/8 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Juice from 1/2 lemon
1 pinch of salt (you can adjust with more, but never less!)
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 c Ice (big cubes usually 5 or 6)

Post-blend, let the mixture marinate in your fridge overnight.  If you are wondering about the pooch pics, Bernard is addicted to ice... His tactic is to sit and wait by the fridge until someone with thumbs strolls by, willing to contribute to his habit... The vitamixing hour is a happy time... -A
