Recipe #18... Smoke in a Bottle... A different take on the Bloody Mary

Note: The Vitamix was a present for our household.  Now if our household's use of this present was represented by the image of a teeter-totter, my side would be soaring high, while Brett's would be resting firmly on the ground.  But one day the usage imbalance shifted.  We started with a Men's Health Bloody Mary Recipe, and here's where we ended up...

Smoke in a Bottle
Add the following to your mixer of choice...
Makes four-ish
**I am not a nutritionist, and I guesstimate portions.

3 c low-sodium tomato juice (RW Knudsen's great for the glass container)
1/2 shallot
2 stalks of celery w/ leaves (from the interior - small baby stalks)
1 Roasted Red Pepper slice
2 sprigs of parsley
1/4 c fresh lemon juice
1 tsp horseradish
3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Hot sauce (Plus more if you prefer a healthy kick)
1 tsp of Smoked Paprika
1-2 pinches of salt (you can adjust with more, but never less!)
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 c Ice (big cubes usually 5 or 6)

Post-blend, let the mixture marinate in your fridge overnight. I probably don't have to suggest that you add vodka to this mixture to complete the Bloody Mary Recipe, however I will just offer up my brother-in-law's Bacon-Infused Vodka as your vodka of choice.  Here's the link if you're intrigued... Jarin's Bacon-Infused Vodka... Meat + Veggies... Sounds like a meal to me!  -A
